Commercial law - Arbitration
Members of chambers have experience of acting before all kinds of arbitral tribunals, international and domestic, commercial and statutory. Thus they have appeared before tribunals established by such bodies as the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and tribunals established under local government re-organization legislation.
Members of chambers also regularly appear in the High Court on applications under the Arbitration Act 1996 arising out of arbitral proceedings and often obtain leave to appeal on points of law arising out of such proceedings.
A number of members of chambers are also members of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and have sit as arbitrators. Others have also completed the CEDR mediation course and have act as mediators. Chambers is able to offer mediation facilities in-house.
