Regulatory & disciplinary law - Prosecutions
We are frequently instructed to both present and defend prosecutions in a range of areas, such as breaches of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, offences committed under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, prosecutions under the Food Safety Act 1999, the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, suspected money laundering and VAT frauds. We appear on behalf of individuals and companies, as well as government bodies such as the FSA, Customs and Excise, the Food Standards Agency and local authorities.
We have lectured extensively in this area, and frequently hold seminars to keep our clients abreast of any changes in this rapidly evolving area of law.
